"The greatest challenge to Catholic education in the United States today, and the greatest contribution that authentically Catholic education can make to American culture, is to restore to that culture the conviction that human beings can grasp the truth of things, and, in grasping that truth, can know their duties to God, to themselves, and their neighbors."

  -Pope St. John Paul II

Welcome to
St. John Paul II Independent School

St. John Paul II Independent School is a K-8 Catholic Liberal Arts School located in Colwich, Kansas. Here at JPII we are reclaiming the way students are educated. We strive to think outside the current progressive education system. Our Logos centered approach will teach students to think critically, explore independently, and imagine indefinitely. Using Common Arts to develop hands, heads and hearts, our students will thrive as sub-creators of God's gifts.

Our Mission

St. John Paul II Independent School, under the mantle of Our Lady, the model of truth, beauty, and goodness, aids parents in forming disciples of Christ.

Hallway with Pillars

At St. John Paul II Independent School, we desire to assist

parents in the formation of wise and virtuous students. Through a Catholic Liberal Arts Education partnered with study of the Common Arts, we will cultivate the entire student. Our goal is to foster a deeper relationship with God and instill a sense of wonder and awe in His creation.
