We are excited to announce the purchase of our permanent location!
Praised be Jesus Christ!
St. John Paul II Independent School is excited to announce the purchase of Eberly Farm in Northwest Wichita.
We would like to thank all our donors and partners who made this possible. Their generosity gives JPII a permanent location to call home.
St. John Paul II Independent School uses a curriculum that follows the rich, Liberal Arts tradition guided by the Institute for Catholic Liberal Education. We also integrate the Common Arts— practical, hands-on skills that apply concepts learned in the classroom and projects that connect students to God through meaningful work and creation — and the Fine Arts, which awaken a sense of wonder, joy, and reverence for beauty.
Every part of our mission is designed to form the whole person — mind, body, and soul — helping students become the person God intends them to be.
What began as conversations among friends to start a school soon became a movement of families, each bringing their own gifts and enthusiasm to the mission. From those humble beginnings, JPII has grown into a flourishing community where faith and learning, centered around Truth, walk hand in hand every day. We currently serve 39 families with 82 students.
The property offers unique features that fit our unique school. The natural landscape, space, and existing structures complement our Common Arts curriculum which cultivates skills that have been lost over time such as gardening, bee keeping, carpentry skills, and even caring for small livestock. The property also provides space for nature study and lots of outdoor play.
While we will be able to use the existing structures, we will have to build classrooms in order to move onto the property. Our hope is that the classrooms will be timeless, warm, and welcoming and remind us of our eternal goal of Heaven.
